Frequently asked questions
How do I play?
Aim at a corner of the goal, then stop the power meter — try to land it in the gold sweet-spot for a clean strike. After you shoot, you switch to goalkeeper and try to read the opponent's penalty. Best of five kicks each; level scores go to Sudden Death.
What's the difference between Daily Challenge and Free Play?
Daily Challenge gives every player the exact same shootout each day, so results are directly comparable — you get one attempt, plus a streak for playing day after day. Free Play is unlimited, for practice and chasing your longest perfect run.
How do I score a "perfect" finish?
Stop the power meter inside the gold sweet-spot and aim tight to a corner. A well-placed, well-timed strike is far harder for the keeper to reach — but the closer you aim to the post, the smaller your margin for error.
How does the keeper decide where to dive?
The opponent is a deterministic skill engine, not a random coin-flip. It also reads your habits over a shootout, so if you keep hitting the same corner it will start to anticipate you. Mixing up your placement is the way to stay ahead.
What is Sudden Death?
If the score is level after five kicks each, it becomes one kick at a time: the first player to score while the other misses wins. Hold your nerve.
Do I need an internet connection?
No. The shootout — shooting, saving, scoring and your stats — works fully offline. A connection is only used for optional push notifications and basic install measurement.
How do I turn notifications on or off?
Notifications (such as a new Daily Challenge reminder) are optional. Manage them any time in iOS Settings → Notifications → Penalty King, or under the app's own settings.
How do I reset my progress?
Settings → "Reset statistics" clears your streaks, best scores and history. Deleting the app also removes all local data.
Is this an official FIFA or World Cup app?
No. Penalty King: Shootout is an independent arcade game and is not affiliated with FIFA or any official organization, league or event. The opponent and matches are fictional, and there's no real-money betting of any kind.
